Setting the Right Mood

The most important is what one feels in one’s own body; either one feels good, or one feels bad. One enjoys one’s friend’s pleasure only if he enjoys it. In other words, we learn by the sensation of the body, regardless of the reasons. It is only important if one feels good. In that state one says that the Creator is “Good that Doeth Good.” If one feels bad, one cannot say that the Creator behaves with him in a benevolent way. Thus, precisely if one enjoys one’s friend’s happiness, and receives a high spirit from that, if one is in a good mood because his friend is happy, then he can say that the Creator is a good leader. If one has no joy, he feels unhappy. Thus, how can he say that the Creator is benevolent? Therefore, a state where one has no livelihood and gladness is already a state where he has no love for the Creator, and ability to justify his Maker and be happy as one who is granted serving a great and important king.
