“When I Become A Grownup, I Will Buy It”

When my little daughter watched TV and saw something attractive, the demand to buy it right away just followed. We somehow managed that thirst for new toys, so she keeps saying: “When I become a grownup, I will buy it.”

It’s funny watching the unrestricted childish desire to grab everything. But shiny shapes and sleek design might catch an adult by surprise as well. What makes us weak for different things? It’s a desire to get everything for ourselves, which has started since we were born and never leaves us along.

  1. Hi

I found with my son, that not watching tv adverts, primarily by not watching tv and challenging all the advertising yr child is exposed to outside yr home environment is a powerful counterweight.

Trust me, it works. There is a world of books, films, internet materials, computer games and sports you can participate in as an alternative focus to the consumerist psychology that our governments and societies accept as natural and good.

    Best
