It is obvious that man cannot objectively diagnose the current spiritual state he is in, because he always does it out of whatever desire currently affects him. Thus the question of whether one evaluates with one’s mind or with one’s heart arises.

How does one evaluate one’s mental state? A person cannot evaluate his own situation correctly, but at the same time he cannot believe another person, because that person is controlled by his own desires as well.
